Cileungsi, Bogor — The Bogor Regency Government officially inaugurated Situsari Village, located in Cileungsi Subdistrict, as the first Desa Digital (Digital Village) in the region on Thursday (May 22, 2025). The program marks a concrete step toward realizing digital transformation at the village level, aligning with the vision of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Bogor to build a progressive, equitable, and sustainable regency.
The inauguration was led by Deputy Regent of Bogor, Ade Ruhandi, popularly known as Jaro Ade. In his remarks, he emphasized that village digitalization is not only a tool for improving public services but also a strategy to promote local economic and tourism potential and to connect villages into a broader digital ecosystem.
“This digital transformation is not just about administrative services, but also about showcasing the village’s potential, including food security and tourism,” said Jaro Ade.
One of the key contributors to the success of this initiative is the private sector, particularly PT PC24 Telekomunikasi Indonesia (PC24Telin). Through a strategic partnership, PC24Telin has provided free internet access to Situsari Village. This initiative has helped reduce operational costs for the village government and enabled the independent development of local network infrastructure.
“We highly appreciate PC24Telin’s involvement. Collaboration between government and private companies is key to successful village digitalization,” said Jaro Ade.
PC24Telin also supported the launch of the Sistem Informasi Desa Pintar (SIDEPI), a mobile-based application that helps residents access administrative services and village information. Since its launch, the app has been used by hundreds of residents, including for remote identity card applications from home.
Digitalization has also positively impacted local tourism. Tourist destinations such as Situ Tunggilis have gained more exposure, thanks to easier access to information through digital platforms and the village’s social media presence.
PC24Telin CEO, Yogi Samsuri, stated the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting digital village development across Indonesia. “We believe that equitable digital access will accelerate economic growth and enhance the quality of public services at the village level,” he said.
Currently, Bogor Regency comprises 416 villages and 19 urban wards. The local government, through the Department of Community and Village Empowerment (DPMD), has confirmed its readiness in terms of human resources to embrace digital transformation, which is expected to become a model for broader implementation across Indonesia.
